Policies

Registration:

A non-refundable fee of $30 per student ($45 per family) is required yearly at time or registration.

Payment of Fees:

Tuition must be paid by automatic checking account debit.  Any amount left unpaid after the first of the month will be charged a $20 late fee.

 Payment by Automatic Bank Account Debit or Automatic Credit Card Charge:

Tuition will be debited from your bank account on the first day of each month from September through June, or charged to your credit card the first day of each month.  You must sign an auto-debit or an automatic credit card charge authorization form.  Incidental fees such as recital tickets or photo fees must be paid by check, cash, or credit card (not auto payment).

Costumes:

A costume deposit of $30 per class ($100 for Company Kids) will be charged to your auto-debit or credit card IF you indicate that choice on you registration card, on Sept.1st. If you are paying with post-dated checks a check dated Sept 1st for a "Costume Deposit" must be provided at the time of registration. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. Costume balances for the year-end recital will be charged on your auto-debit/credit card on Nov. 1st if indicated on your registration card. For post-dated checks, a check dated Nov. 1st for Costume fee must be provided at time of registration. NO COSTUME FEES WILL BE REFUNDED EVEN IF A STUDENT WITHDRAWS FROM THE SCHOOL.

Withdrawal and Refunds

There is a 2-month minimum for all lessons. One-month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any classes, withdrawal must be done in person at the front desk, not with the teacher, and not over the phone. A withdrawal form must be filled out. All unprocessed checks dated after the one month notice period will be returned, All auto-debit/ credit card charges will stop after the one month notice.

Dress Code:

Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Failure to wear required dancewear could result in students being asked to sit out the class. Repeated failure to wear dancewear could result in termination of lessons. Students are not permitted to wear jeans or street shoes to any dance class for safety reasons dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry. Long hair must be tied back.

Attendance and Tardiness:

The school reserves the right to have students who arrive late to class, sit out the class. Repeated tardiness may result in the termination of lessons. A minimum attendance level will be required. If a student misses more than 4 classes without written notices, the school reserves the right to terminate lessons. If a 1-hour dance class is missed, a make-up class is available. There will be NO make-up lessons for private music lessons missed.

Parent's Responsibility to Be Aware of Dates and Events:

It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all school activities, such as recitals, extra classes, and dates the school is open or closed. The school will post all such notices around the studio as well as sending notices home with the students. It is also the responsibility of the parents or adult student to inform the office of any address or telephone number change.

Care of Students:

The school is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Parents with students under the age of 5 are required to notify the secretary of immediate contact (such as cell phone #) if not home during classes. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time before of after class.

Release form Liability:

I, for myself, my heirs and assigns do hereby release, absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless, Lynn's school of Dance and Arizona Desert Dance Power and its staff, volunteers, and other officials from any liability now or in the future occurring on or around studio premises, or at any function held at any other locations in connection with dance classes in which the student named above is / are enrolled. I declare that the student named above is in good health and can participate in dance classes. Given the nature of dance and acrobatic movement, and with knowledge that injuries sometimes may occur, I understand, acknowledge, and accept those risks and agree to release and hold harmless parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action in the event of any injury or emergency, I give the permission for the school to secure medical care if I can not be reached. I will be responsible for medical charges.

Photo Release:

The school is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials the school creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the school to copyright such photographs in its name.

Miscellaneous:

Parents and students are to be aware that the school promotes a healthy body image among the students. Parents are to be aware that dancing is physically demanding and proper body care is essential. Students are allowed to have a water bottle ONLY in the classroom. Snacks are only allowed in the waiting rooms.
